A reason for Model UN
SRI LANKA ROTARACT MODEL UNITED NATIONS
The first-ever United Nations Simulation attempt with implementations
SLRMUN Conference
The Sri Lanka Rotaract Model United Nations (SLRMUN) Conference, the crown jewel of RMMUN, stands as a prestigious and widely recognized Model United Nations (MUN) event in Sri Lanka. Unique in being organized by a university-based Rotaract Club, SLRMUN and RMMUN aims to connect young leaders, foster global discussions, and promote peace and mutual understanding.
- Conducted as a full-day event on the university premises on February 18th
- 150+ physical delegates in attendance
- These delegates represented universities, schools, and private participants
One hallmark of SLRMUN is its distinctive approach to translating the discussions into action. It is the only MUN conference in Sri Lanka that actively implements resolutions from contemporary Rotaract projects. The conference is known for its high academic standards, emphasizing a comprehensive understanding of the topics and promoting leadership and interpersonal skills through interactive sessions.
